Mattel launched a new version of black barbie dolls with fuller lips, a wider nose and more pronounced cheek bones. The Barbie designer Stacy McBride-Irby wanted to create a line of dolls for young black girls who look like them… My question is what about the young black or hispanic girls who dont look like these barbie dolls? What do you tell them? what is your opinion on the issue?
